Sarah Lebo joined South Island Medical in June 2024 as a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner after rotating as a student with NP Ott. Her role as a new provider is informed by 18 years of practice as a registered nurse specializing in pediatric, cardiac, neonatal critical and emergency care. She also served for two years as a forensic nurse in Boulder County and was a member of Island County Public Health’s COVID team.
Sarah grew up in Pasadena, California and Vancouver, BC. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Calgary and most recently, a Master’s of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society, the International Association of Forensic Nursing and is a Daisy Award honoree.
Sarah moved to Whidbey with her husband and two children in 2021 to be closer to family. As a nurse practitioner, Sarah views her relationship with patients as a collaboration. She believes there is strength in being a perpetual ‘student’ and aspires to maintain the best traits of her mentors in nursing and medicine by practicing with curiosity, humor and humility.
